Report from exchange to Hungary by polish students

Our last part of the Pangea project began on Monday 3.04.2017. The last city we had visited before finished project was Eger. At 8.00 a.m. our polish teachers looked after us because our new friends from Hungary went to school. Our teachers had a lot of good ideas how to spend some free time that day. First, we had breakfast in the morning. At 9.30 a.m. we all went to swimming pool. The swimming pool was in a hotel. It was awesome 3 hours. Next, we had dinner and after it we went to the town centre to visit the most interesting places such as: The Minaret Tower, The Marcipan Museum and the Castle which was very old but very beautiful. We were told of some history of it. We had supper at 7.00 p.m. then we came back houses we stayed in.

Me and my Polish friends met at school in Eger on Tuesday at 9 o’clock. Hungarian teachers showed us their school. Then we took part in activities for teachers and students, we had a wonderful time. We had come back school and after that we visited English literature lessons. Next we had dinner and went to Egerszalók thermal spa. In the evening we and our Hungarian families got home.

On Wednesday we had some presentations of legends from different countries. Then we had dinner in the canteen. Hungarian dishes were delicious. In the evening we visited the Town Hall in Eger. We met a representative of Town Hall there. The following attraction was the laser fight in the cavern of Eger. In the evening we had a farewell dinner with our new friends.

On Thursday we took part in a trip to Budapest. One of the first points of this tour was the area around Buda Castle, where we had an hour of self-guided tour and some time to purchase souvenirs. When the time expired our entire group went to the stairs of the Fisherman’s Bastion where we spent a while taking pictures with the panorama of Budapest waiting for our bus to take us to the parliament. On the way we also went to an exceptionally tasty dinner in a restaurant in the old part of the city. Visiting the parliament we learned a lot about its functioning as well as some curiosities about the building itself. Everyone learned something on this trip and it will certainly be something we will remember with pleasure.

Friday was a last day of our group at host families. In the morning we were all packed with our teachers and later that day we went with them to the Turkish bath. We spent about two hours there using the numerous saunas and hot baths. After this visit we returned to the seminar where we were staying for our last night. In the evening, however, we left for a moment to admire Eger during night.
